Nordic Bloom
Nordic Bloom is a a collection that I designed for the Elsie & Marj Internship opportunity we had to go up for in my final year. The brief was to design her a collection of prints that she could use and have as her brand patterns. in the briefing she spoke about scandi style patterns and wanted something that fitted into her colour palette and her range of socks she was already selling.

I was lucky enough to get shortlisted in the Top Three students she had to choose from and had some lovely Feedback from her - " Lotties designs are beautiful and the colour palette is fabulous. I can really see the socks sat next to these designs quite easily. Can also see how we can develop the stripe as a co-ord Print"

My inspiration behind collection came from the idea of scandi national flowers. so I started with researching and then drawing my own florals out in watercolour and digitally as well to get a more graphic bolder look than my delicate watercolour drawings. I then played around with a few ideas and colour ways for my main hero design before looking at some co-ord patterns to sit alongside it. stripes was another thing she really liked so I played around with my florals and stripes in my chosen colour palette.

Abstract Layers

My Third year live brief was set to us by the Fashion Brand Monki to design a collection of prints for spring/summer 2026.
Within this project I focused on combining Delicate Florals with different Textured patterns. One of my favourite pieces in this collection was my reactive Devore stripe leaf pattern due to the sheerness of the fabric and how well my pattern stands out on the fabric. I took inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo to help build my designs and create a sense of customer. This project has been the one to push me out my comfort zone and give me experience into the fashion design. it was such a fun and experimental project to work and creating my designs onto clothing illustrations and seeing them come to life was amazing.

Bring Life Back To Industries
Copper had been a big a part in Swansea heritage for over 200 years. Copper was something I was interested in working with as a material and how my pieces could look to bring the colour to life. To incorporate this element with biophilia, I took inspiration from Swansea’s botanical gardens and the floral wildlife that grows around Swansea.
Bringing a sense of life and love back into very industrial buildings and industries, bringing nature and the beautifulness that flowers and plants can bring to life.
Starting with simple floral drawings to bring in fabrics and materials such as wool fabric, glass, and copper itself to life with designs.
Using charcoal fabric representing the industries, printing floral patterns in a metallic copper or a copper colour fabric with charcoal print across it. Even experimenting and offsetting a metallic copper print with a charcoal grey print across the top. Looking more at copper and the colour of it within my patterns and designs.
Creating simple floral pieces out of copper sheets. A hard structure that uses copper that Swansea was known for and mixing it with floral designs to have physical pieces of metal to create patterns and designs.
